Holy Rosario of Pain

Dress figure owned by the Dominican Mothers of the nearby Piety Convent , in St. Paul Square. It is an image surely made in Valencian workshops, showing some Neapolitan influence. It shows in its face, of contained pain, all the anguish of a mother before the loss of the Son, while she observes, with resigned feeling, the crown of thorns of that fallen King who, in this hour of death and pain, vanishes the dream and aspiration of any Mother.
